Full design - the way forward.

The standard definition of design used by our competitors is that design only refers to the concept stage and determining sizes for radiator, pipework, ductwork etc. Co-ordination with the building and other services can only be carried out by contractors. The we have found can cause difficulties during installation and leads to problems of controlling costs.

	Allan Cumming set out to inprove this situation by proper attention at an early stage resolving installation issues on the drawing board and thus facilitating financial controls.
	This sets a new standard in M & E design.
	At the outset of a project, a room schedule is prepared identifying the design parameters for heating, ventilation and lighting for every space in the building. This forms the basis of the detailed design.
